A variety of vines, the Aristolochia zollingeriana miq (zollinger Dutchmanspipe) climgs upward by twining other objects with its stems, whose surface is glossy and has several ridgelines. It has ovalegg-shaped, diamond-shaoed, or heart-shaped leaves, soft fine hairs all over its dorsals, and heart shapes of the entire leaf bases. With unique corollas, it looks like a long tube, with the bottom a big belly, and the elongated barrel curved. It also has an expanded opening on the above and it is yellow on the inside. Bearing oval fruit, it is hexagonal. Being a herbal medicine, the zollinger Dutchmanspipe, containing aristolochine, is also poisonous, and should be used carefully. Besides, it is also the fodder of larvae of papilios, such as Wallace's golden birdwings.
