With a body length from 4 to 6 centimeters, the Rana limnocharis (rice field frog) has changeable body colors from brown to green brown. Some individuals have a dorsal midline with irregular thickness and shapes. There are various thick vertical stripes on the mouth and many irregular short skin folds. Widely distributed all over low altitude watery areas, it feeds on small invertebrates.
