Papilio demoleus libanius (lime butterfly)

The commonest seen butterfly species in plains to low altitude mountain areas and even spoted in parks and schools in big cities, the two sexes of Papilio demoleus libanius (lime butterfly) are almost the same in physical stature. Black bases of the female’s wings are variegated with yellow scales with the yellow spots having light shade. The fodder of its larvae is plants like citrus fruits of Rutaceae family.
