Distributed all over the ground level to mountain areas in Taiwan and Orchid Island, the Pachliopta aristolochiae interposita (common rose) is a common butterfly species. With birthworts growing in it, even a small piece of original forest or wild forest, the common rose is sure to be attracted to it. The two sexes are similar in body type, with the male having smaller body wings and narrow and long fore wings. The fodder of its larvae is Zollinger Dutchmanspipes.
