Oxya chinesis (grasshopper)

The female’s body stature is bigger than that of the male’s. The Oxya chinesis (grasshopper) has a gray brown or red brown back. It is green below the head and light green in the compound eyes. It has a green pronotum looking from the side, dark brown vertical stripes below the compound eyes stretching all the way to wing tips, a green abdomen and limbs, and wings longer than the abdomen end. Color differences exist in the species. Living in ground level to low altitude mountain areas, it is often seen among the bushes.
