Ocadia sinensis (Chinese stripe-necked turtle)

Family emydidae

The Ocadia sinensis (Chinese stripe-necked turtle) shell can grow up to 25 centimeters for a female turtle, whereas that of a male is shorter. Yellow and green vertical stripes cover all over its head, neck, and limbs. Distributed islandwide in low altitude waters, the Chinese stripe-necked turtle is the commonest native fresh water turtle species. Because of the intrusion of the red-eared sliders, its species is compressed.
