Eurema blanda arsakia (three-spot grass yellow)

Family pieridae

Living in ground level to low to intermediate altitude mountain areas, the Eurema blanda arsakia (three-spot grass yellow) likes to visit flowers. The slow flyer is the common species. It body size is larger than that of the Eurema andersoni godana and also bigger in number. The male three-spot grass yellow has yellow wing surfaces, black stripes on the outer edges of the fore wings, and dark brown stripes on front and back pronesurfaces. The female butterfly has wider dark zones on wing surfaces, lighter color, and wider physique. There are three types of its ventral sides of the wings: stripeless type, variegated type, and blackening type. The fodder of its larvae is leguminosae trees like Chinese apes-earrings, glossy-shower sennas, and Kassod trees.
