Borbo cinnara ( Formosan Swift)

Living in the ground level to low altitude mountains, the imago of the borbo cinnara (Formosan swift) likes visiting flowers and gathering honey and can be seen all year round. It often shows up in the Jamaica false-valerians in Niaosong Wetland Park. The male Formosan swift has dark brown wings, curve lines formed by a row of white stripes on the fore wings, a light yellow brown hind wings, 2 to 3 white spots on the lower parts of hind wings with the other parts the same color as the fore wing. The fodder of its larvae is plants like silver-grass and Para grass.
