Living in low to intermediate altitude mountains, the aspidomorpha miliaris (spotted tortoise beetle) is often seen to move about on the leaf surface of trees like foully operculinas and morning glories. Belonging to the variety of large-size leaf beetles, the spotted tortoise beetle has transparent pronotum and elytra, black spots of various sizes on the hard outer wings, and orange yellow streaks along the junction of left and right wings. Individual size variation is large.
