Zosterops japonica

Family zosteropidae/ resident bird

Months of Appearance: From January to December.

Location of Appearance: The whole Park area

With a length of 11 centimeters, the Zosterops japonica (Japanese white-eye) has mostly yellow green back and conspicuous white lines on the peripheries of its black eyes. It is yellow from the throat all the way down to the upper chest and tail coverts, whereas the lower chest to the abdomen is dirty white. Showing up in plains to forested areas of low altitude in groups, the Japanese white-eye is the most common bird species in the city. Its cute sight can be easily spotted because of its frequent singing.
