Hypsipetes leucocephalus

Order Passeriformes/ family Pycnonotidae

The hypsipetes leucocephalus (black bulbul) is black with luster. It has gray feather edges on the wing and tail feathers, slight bifurcations on the tail, and short crests on the head. Red color on the beak and legs makes it salient. Clustering together makes them seem noisy. Loving to perch on the top of tall crowns, it lives on berries and insects. It lets out “chick, chuck, chick” or “meow” sounds.
