Location of Appearance: Settling basins, small ponds, and big ponds.
With a length of 69 centimeters, the Egretta intermedia (intermediate egret) has yellow eye lines and black toes. In the summer seasons, its beak is black, with long decorative feathers below the front neck and on the back; while in the winter seasons, its beak turns to yellow with black shade on the front, without decorative feathers. Its breeding record in Taiwan has been confirmed. It often frequents the water surroundings of seashores, river mouths, swamps, shoals, etc., mingling with other egret families.
