Location of Appearance: Settling basins, small ponds, and big ponds.

With a length of 61 centimeters, the egretta garzetta (little egret) is all white from top to bottom. It has a black beak and legs, and its salient feature is yellow-green toes. In summer seasons, the back of its head grows two long decorative features, and there are also decorative feathers below the front neck and on the back. During the breeding seasons, first the eyes and later the toes turn to red. It often show up in the water surroundings of seashores, river mouths, swamps, shoals, etc., mingling with other egretta families. Some Egretta garzetta families are migratory. The Egretta garzetta family are often seen to formed an egret community with night herons and yellow head herons building nests togethers. When foraging, it often stirs the water with its leg to frighten the fish and shrimps, causing them to frantically scatter. Then it jabs and catches.
