Location of Appearance: Silting grounds, small pounds, and big pounds.

With a length of 16 cm, the alcedo atthis (kingfisher) has a dark beak for a male and a downside red beak for a female. It is red-footed, with luster from the back to the tail. Its wings are lustrous dark green, scattered with light blue spots. The color down from the eyes all the way to the ear feathers is orange, with a white throat and orange abdomen. It often visits water areas in ones or twos. Standing on a twig or rock, seeking a chance to plunge into the water to catch its prey. It keeps a straight stance when flying, often taxiing along the water surface, occasionally fluttering its wings at some fixed points before going into the water again to catch its preys. It is also nicknamed “Common Kingfisher.”
